Food & drinks and Monday and Tuesday nights.
Monday night (6th July)
To date, we've got 17 people who said "yes" and 9 "maybe"s for food and drinks on the evening before the event.
If there were 26 of us, I think we'd probably struggle to reach a consensus, so we might split into 2 or 3 groups for food. One of the likely venues is the 88 Noodle Bar (which can seat about 20 people) -- I've scanned in their menu so you can have a browse...
After food, we're planning a short pub crawl and will probably end up at the Rat & Ratchet (review) or The Star (review/web site).
Tuesday (7th July)
About 1/3 of you said "yes" and another 1/3 said "maybe", so we might have a small army of over 40 people wanting to socialise after "Mash Oop North" :-D
We're going to try and book a room at The Head of Steam (review), which is one of the two pubs at Huddersfield railway station. I'm not sure if we'll be able to squeeze everyone into a single room, but the pub is big enough (with 4 large rooms) to cope with everyone.
We'd not planned to do any post-event catering, but I might see if we can scrounge enough money together to lay on a small buffet. If anyone wants to have a substantial meal before heading off, then the pub sells a wide variety of hot & cold food.

In return for some really interesting talks / moans / developments on access and identity management from mashed attendees I'd be happy for the JISC access management team to help out with a bit funding for a buffet......

It's wrong in every possible way imaginable ;-)
I suspect the pre/post socialising will take more organising than the event itself!
